Ron and Heidi Mendenhall and Ranel Hanson recently came to Woodbury Reports for a visit to announce their new program, Focus Point Program. Ron, Program Director, and his wife Heidi, founded Focus Point as a transition program for young adults. Ranel Hanson is the Admissions Director for the program.
Students at Focus Point must be 18-24 years of age and graduates of High school. Exceptions may sometimes be made for a younger student who is near 18 and who needs to finish high school or obtain a GED. The program welcomes students who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, academic/vocational difficulties, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - PTSD, impulsivity, persistent avoidance of valued activities, alcohol / substance abuse relapse issues, low self-esteem and lack of confidence, lack of motivation to effect change, impaired executive functioning, and/or failure to launch.
Focus Point Transition Program exists to serve young adults who require guidance beyond high school within a safe environment. Our professional staff is dedicated to enhancing self-confidence, independence and individual learning experiences. Our team offers clinical, academic, and practical skills that develop self-reliant thought and sober living. These experiences are designed to launch emerging adults into successful college, career and life choices.
