Flying H Youth Ranch, located at the base of the foothills of Mount Rainier was founded in 1962, and is a Christian residential program for boy's, ages 13-16 ½ years old who struggle with defiance and anger, poor peer relationships, disrespect to authority figures and lack self control. In addition to experimentation with drugs and alcohol, poor academic performance or ADHD.

This small program focuses on character development and learning to respect authority figures, follow instructions, change negative attitudes and to treat others with love. In addition, students are taught a good work ethic both academically and vocationally. Classes are held on the ranch, with students attending traditional classes for 9 months and the summer months offering the students credits in outdoor education utilizing field trips and films. Educational services are provided by Hope Academy, which is accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools.

Vocational opportunities for the young men include automotive technology, culinary arts, photography, life skills and metal machining fabrication. Staff and teachers at the Flying H Ranch are missionaries and are supported by churches and individuals.

Family services include individual, group and family counseling.

Recreational activities include camping, backpacking, snow camps, gym time, volleyball, soccer, swimming and the boys highlight of the year: an eight day survival hike.
