Expedition Therapy proudly announces the addition of Raini J. Knaeble, MSEd, LPCC as Primary Therapist.

"We are excited to have Raini as part of the Expedition Therapy team," said Beth Fogel, Primary Therapist and Creative Strategist. "Her experience, her qualifications and her intensely caring nature make her an extremely valuable resource for us, for our students, and for their families."

Raini is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She received her MSEd degree from the University of Wisconsin. Raini was most recently a Clinical Supervisor in a school-based mental health program, and has been deeply involved in adventure therapy and wilderness-based programming with young people in the lake country of Minnesota. She has participated annually in Therapeutic Adventure Professional Group (TAPG) Conferences, and is committed to continuing education and maintaining the highest level of professional competence. Raini is passionate about adventure therapy and the healing power of both relationships and experiences.

Raini's approach to the therapeutic process is to build a strong relationship, to bring in techniques that help young adults to look at their "problems" in a new light, and to solidify change by presenting them with experiences that will show them that anything is attainable.

In Raini's words, "I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation to any possible growth. It is with this belief that I begin a relationship from a person-centered perspective, with unconditional positive regard and empathy. Through solution-focused and cognitive behavior techniques, combined with adventure and experience, I help Expedition Therapy students to grow and change in ways they may not have thought possible."

Aaron Wilson, Expedition Therapy Executive Director, added, "Raini's depth of clinical experience in therapeutic, experiential and adventure settings really sets her apart as a therapist. Her presence at Expedition Therapy will elevate the quality of treatment and outcomes to an even higher level."
