Expedition Therapy proudly announces the addition of Bridger Ogden, LSAC as Substance Abuse Counselor.

"We are thrilled to have Bridger as part of the Expedition Therapy team," said Beth Fogel, CEO. "His experience, his qualifications and his empathy make him an extremely valuable resource for us, for our students, and for their families."

Bridger is a Utah State Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor who has worked in the field of addiction treatment since 2000. He is a graduate of the University of Utah College of Social Work's Alcohol & Drug Abuse Treatment Training Program. Bridger recently received his "Treating The Addictions" Certification through the Harvard Medical School. He has worked with adults in an intensive outpatient setting as well as adolescents in residential treatment.

"I firmly believe that success in recovery grows from the motivation that is maximized when young adults are encouraged to define their own version of success and happiness," states Bridger. "Then, through counseling, treatment planning, and family involvement, they can gain the tools necessary to recover and achieve their goals. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, 'Nothing great can be accomplished without enthusiasm.' "

Ms. Fogel added, "I am very impressed with Bridger's passion and intention to bring awareness to Expedition Therapy's emerging young adult students. He will assist them in making a direct connection between their inability to move forward, both socially and educationally, and their substance abuse, excessive gaming, isolation and other self-destructive choices. Bridger brings a unique set of abilities to Expedition Therapy, adding an extra dimension to our intensive process of supporting young adults as they learn and master skills that can be applied to whatever comes next, as they move forward in their lives. Expedition Therapy provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain a strong foothold in early sobriety, learn social, coping, and life skills, and become engaged on expeditions designed to restore them back to a more healthy, clean and sober lifestyle."

At Expedition Therapy, students learn organizational and time management skills, as well as how to plan and lead an expedition step by step, from route finding to follow through. These skills are readily transferable to whatever happens next. The Expedition Therapy Team takes pride in the process of engagement and relationship building, providing unconditional acceptance in a culturally diverse setting. Our Therapeutic Expedition MentalityŽ is an empowering option for adults who want to learn how to create a balance in their lives, stay sober, and reconnect with their authentic selves. At Expedition Therapy, we help young adults discover the inner focus, direction and motivation they need to move themselves forward in their lives.
