Elan School, located in Poland, Maine, is pleased to announce it was recently award accreditation by the National Independent Private Schools Association (NIPSA). NIPSA is a fully accredited member of the National Council For Private School Accreditation. Elan School continues to hold full approval from the Maine Department of Education.

Elan School maintains an ongoing commitment to excellence, school improvement and the safety and well being of our students.

Elan School is a coeducational, residential, special-purpose school, serving grades 8 through 12. Elan serves Students classified as Emotionally Disturbed, Learning Disabled (mild to moderate), Other Health Impaired or who exhibit disruptive behaviors associated with ADHD and/or Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Students are admitted year round and stay an average of 27 months.
