Once a month during the school year, Eagleton School honors students and staff whose good work exemplifies the Eagleton spirit.

For October, 2012, our Dare to Soar Award recipients are:

  • Isacc A., a student whose spirit and singing talent are an inspiration to fellow students and their families. Isacc generously shares his music during UNIFY weekends. Isaac has also helped to tutor peers who have intellectual disabilities.

  • Bryan G., who has volunteered every Monday night at Berkshire South Community Center, where he provides cheerful and polite service of meals at the weekly community dinners. Bryan's "can do" attitude, enthusiasm, and energy are wonderful assets that will help him to succeed in adulthood.

  • Amy Schirmer is not only a talented art teacher but a team player, helping prepare meals in the Eagleton kitchen, filling in for absent teaching staff, and always lending a hand to produce art for special events. She and her art students were responsible for providing the voting partitions and ballot box for the Eagleton mock elections on November 6th, 2012.

  • Courtney Teggi is a capable dormitory staff whose paperwork, behavioral interventions, and debriefing strategies have been noted as outstanding.

Congratulations to all of our honorees for the important contributions you make to the Eagleton School community!
