It is with sadness that Eagle Summit is saying good bye to our Director of Business Development/Admissions, Deidre Sage Butte. Deidre has been with Eagle Summit since four months prior to our opening in March 2009. Deidre came to Eagle Summit after her beloved Duck River program in Tennessee was closed. She has been instrumental in managing Educational Consultant tours at our campus. Deidre will be leaving us on August 17, 2009 to begin her new position with an adult recovery program in Tennessee as Admissions Coordinator.
"I have been so blessed to have been a part of a start up program with the outstanding therapeutics of Eagle Summit. While we have been very busy conducting consultant tours, I have been able to watch the program develop into something beautiful as each new student was enrolled. I am sorry to be leaving so soon after our opening, but am excited about my new opportunity", reports Mrs. Butte`.
Eagle Summit has been quite fortunate to have seasoned program staff involved in the development and first months of operation. We expected our inaugural year to be difficult, but have actually found ourselves to be "ahead of the game" in opening months. We have admitted 3 students and have been able to get our new students on track academically. We are in the process of developing our own academic curriculum for which we will seek state licensing and regional accreditation. We are currently using online curriculum.
While Eagle Summit clinical staff has had to deny some students for admission, we are proud to say that we are able to be "true to whom we say we are" and not allow the economic downturn force us into accepting all applicants. We are fortunate to have the financial support of our parent company, PCS.
Deidre will be sharing new contact information with all of us very soon. In the meantime, please feel free to contact Angie Fusco at Eagle Summit by phone at 573-485-4650 or via e mail at angiefusco@eaglesummit-mo.com.
