I am pleased to introduce two great new additions to our team: Kathy Cheng, our new Director of Admission and Monica Potter, our new Director of Student Support, who joined us earlier this year.
Prior to coming to Dynamy, Kathy helped guide students and families through the admission process at both Emerson College and Clark University. She holds a Masters degree in Marketing from Emerson and has published Search Engine Optimization, From Dial-Up to Dialogue. Kathy's other experiences include teaching Chinese at The College of Holy Cross and at the Bruce Wells Scholars Upward Bound at Clark University and as an independent tutor.
The Director of Student Support is a brand new position for the program itself. Monica is an LMHC and certified guidance counselor who worked in education for a decade at our parent agency, Y.O.U. Inc. Monica is able to support students in even more personalized ways beyond our traditional advising and she also brings her expertise to our new weekly workshops like Time Management, Budgeting and Personal Leadership. Monica has already greatly contributed to our ability to support students across their individual learning differences and educational goals.
About Dynamy: Dynamy, which started in 1969, offers students two "hands on learning" programs: Internship Year, a gap year program in which students participate in a variety of real world activities to increase self awareness, self reliance and the confidence to transition to a higher education. Experiences include adventure challenges, full time internships from over 200 placements, residential life in a supervised apartment, community service, college and career counseling and an individual plan for success.
