We are all looking forward to our Summer Semester 2012 and to building on last year's success. This year's semester will run the entire summer with two five week academic sessions and a one week break in mid-summer. A planned activity will be available during the break for students who are unable to return home for this one week period.

Our Summer Semester is a full academic semester with access to the many natural and cultural resources of Midcoast Maine. Weekend activities take advantage of our unique location and included camping, boating and hiking as well as baseball games and other traditional summer activities.

As in our Fall and Spring Semesters, students are engaged in community service, co-curricular projects and are responsible for the cooking cleaning and general upkeep of the house.

With its small community atmosphere and an emphasis on individual attention, our Summer Session is a great way for students to turn their summer break into an opportunity to get ahead. Rolling admissions allows us to take a student at any point during the summer.

A calendar for our 2012 Summer Semester may be found on our website at www.deckhouseschool.org.

The Deck House School is a small residential high school for boys who have struggled in the academic mainstream. Students and staff work together to create a community that builds positive relationships and encourages social, emotional, and academic growth.
