In that time we have served over 750 families from all over the United States and internationally, are giving over $2.5 million each year in rate reductions, and have grown from one campus serving 36 residents to a multi-site organization serving over 100 residents at a time. We are a learning organization and have been collecting outcomes data since we opened our doors. We are giving presentations at conferences and been published in scholarly journals and are sharing the philosophy of our compassionate, comprehensive model far and wide. Who comes to us and what do they receive? Most people who comes to us express that their lives have been interrupted by mental health crises and/or addictions. They feel stuck, lonely, and disconnected from their life's purpose. We welcome them into a healing community. The five developmental conditions of healing community are central to addressing their stressors:
Recovery is enhanced by combining the best of science with a healing community. At CooperRiis, our recent scientific advances have focused on: -Optimizing medications whereby we collaborate as a team with residents to determine their lowest effective dosages. Some medication choices are also enhanced through genetic testing and the use of supplements to complement their psychotropic substances, -Creating the CooperRiis Neuro-Enhancement Program which improves outcomes for some via qEEG analysis, the use of neurofeedback, and the use of CES and tDCS stimulation techniques, -Providing regular individual and group psychotherapy, now enhanced for some by the availability of equine assisted psychotherapy, and -Integrating nutrition, physical exercise and mindfulness, relaxation techniques, smoking cessation and chemical dependency treatments to strengthen overall health. Most residents progress through our program in 6 to 12 months. All seek recovery - the sustainable ability to live a fulfilling and functional life, despite one's mental health challenge.
