Cherry Gulch celebrated the two year anniversary of having students in the program on August 19th. Our entire team would like to thank every educational consultant, program, professional, and parent that helped make our program a success. We are grateful to those of you that trusted us with the students that you referred to us. It has been a joy to see the progress each of our students has made and to hear the success stories from the dozen students that have graduated from our program. We get calls weekly from students who have moved on but still consider themselves members of the Cherry Gulch family and want to tell us about their new school, their first job, a recent vacation, or some success they have had. A couple of weeks ago we had two former students return to Cherry Gulch for the weekend to ride horses, participate in fun activities, mentor and motivate our students, while reconnecting to staff and peers.

In the last two years we went from operating out of a double wide modular home to building two beautiful buildings; a nearly 7,800 sf lodge overlooking a reservoir and the Payette River and a 2,600 sf bunk house with a vaulted ceiling and nice views. Our new bunk house allowed us to increase our maximum census from 20 to 25 students. Between the middle of June and the end of July we celebrated seven graduations. We have been fortunate to have three new students enroll in the past two weeks and now have 22 students enrolled and have just a few spaces left.

Thank you for your faith and trust in us. It has been so rewarding working with the great boys we have at Cherry Gulch and seeing them develop into fine young men.

Sincerely,
Andy Sapp, Ph.D.
