Wernersville, Pennsylvania 800-678-2332 The Caron Foundation The Caron Foundation was established in 1957 by Richard & Catherine Caron for patients between the ages of 16 and 23 who are struggling with the progressive, debilitating illness of psycho-active substance abuse dependence. It consists of a number of facilities that provide comprehensive chemical dependency treatment services including early intervention, medical evaluation and detoxification, residential and outpatient treatment for adults and adolescents, extended care/halfway housing, family counseling and education, and codependency treatment. The treatment integrates the12-step philosophy into its daily activities, which include group and individual therapy and extensive recreational programs. Their on-campus instruction program that provides continuing education also incorporates the 12-step model into its approach. The Caron Foundation’s “mission” is to provide an “enlightened, caring treatment community” in which all those affected by alcoholism or other drug addiction may begin a new life. © Copyright 2012 by Woodbury Reports, Inc. |
