The Boyer House Foundation provides long-term, intensive, team-based treatment in a community living setting for clients who need more intensive treatment than can be offered in an outpatient setting. They work with young adults with Axis I and/or Axis II disorders including dual diagnoses, who have experienced persistent problems that have been non- responsive to other interventions. Clients may stay from six months to several years.

The services provided by the Boyer House Foundation include active treatment coordination and oversight; regular treatment planning conferences; family therapy and consultation; room and board in a private room; milieu therapy and case management; intensive individual psychotherapy three times a week; household support services (three to five meetings per week, plus check-ins); medication prescribing and medication management; vocational planning and job assistance; program outings and activities; group therapy; psychological assessment upon admission; and discharge planning. Their households and offices are located in the San Francisco Bay Area (Marin County), and their clients come from across the United States.
