Blueprint Education, a nonprofit educational organization, is proud to partner with Eagle Quest of Nevada in helping their youth succeed through the Hero's Journey program.
The Hero's Journey program is an innovative six-week adventure program held in Nevada's backcountry. The program is designed to help at-risk, disadvantaged youth overcome life's challenges. "Blueprint Education has aligned the program content to Nevada State Educational Standards including calculating 'seat time', verifying assessment of learning objectives, and aligning daily learning objectives and activities to established state standards," states Jennifer Blackstone, Curriculum Director at Blueprint. "Students are eligible to earn up to 1.0 credit of Physical Education, 0.5 credit of Health, and 0.5 credits of English."
"We are excited that our first group of students finished our program and received a transcript from Blueprint Education. It allows for a seamless transition to their home school. Blueprint has been instrumental in our student's success." states Jon Shute, Director of the "Hero's Journey" program.
"The best thing is that these students can participate in outdoor programs reinforcing positive life skills while still working towards their high school diploma," says Brenda Baer, Distance Learning Director for Blueprint Education. "There's no better reward than to help students succeed."
