Benchmark Transitions Welcomes New Psychiatrist and Addiction Medicine Physician

Benchmark Transitions is pleased to introduce the newest members of our treatment team, Mary Ann Schaepper, MD and Michael Valdez, MD.

Dr. Mary Ann Schaepper will be joining the team as our new Medical Director and will take over Dr. Duk's role as primary psychiatrist, overseeing all medication management protocols for the clients in Phase I, II & III, ILS and Grad programs (Residential, PHP, IOP & Outpatient) levels of care.

Dr. Michael Valdez will be joining us as an addictions medicine consulting physician. Dr. Valdez will help ensure that our newly developed, but not yet launched, detoxification program meets State of CA standards of care, and will be the addiction medicine physician supervising our detoxification process.

At this time, we bid a fond farewell to Anthony Duk, MD. We're pleased to support him in his future endeavors and thank him for his tireless hours, countless phone calls and emails to worried parents and for his dedication to the treatment of our clients. Dr. Duk will stay on as necessary to help transition the client case load and review treatment plans and medication history with Dr. Schaepper, to ensure a seamless transition of medical care.
