Asheville Academy for Girls (AAG), a therapeutic boarding school for young girls ages 10-14, is proud to announce Laura Storey as the new Director of Business Development. Laura will start in her role on March 29, 2017.
Working alongside Kathryn Huffman, the Director of Admissions, Laura will lead marketing efforts and nurture relationships that will help transform the lives of students and families at Asheville Academy for Girls.
"I am really proud to join the incredible team at Asheville Academy for Girls," says Laura. "I have already begun working closely with the team to establish the best way to incorporate my unique skills in helping young girls and their families at this crucial point in their lives."
Before joining the team at Asheville Academy for Girls, Laura worked as the Assistant Director of College Admissions. She also has extensive experience in grassroots marketing campaigns and fundraising.
Laura received her Masters of Public Administration from South University and graduated Magna Cum Laude from an Honors Program at the University of South Carolina.
"The addition of Laura to our staff is one of several thrilling developments at Asheville Academy. We moved to a spacious new campus and recently completed a transition house for students getting ready to graduate," says Cat Jennings, Executive Director of Asheville Academy for Girls. "All of these things make me so excited for the future of Asheville Academy. I know Laura's genuine enthusiasm, compassion, and people skills will make her an asset to us and those she will work with."
Laura is looking forward to building relationships and working together with educational consultants, alumni, and the team at Asheville Academy to help families and their young daughters grow and prosper.
