Alpine Academy just completed our 5th Annual Alumni Reunion Weekend.
This year's reunion attendance was record-breaking for us - with almost double the number of returning students than the year previous. In all, with students, former parents, and current parents, we hosted nearly 300 people on our campus for the festivities.
The weekend included many great workshops, some delicious food, and a fabulous silent auction where all were able to bid on a variety of wonderful items and events that had been donated. All proceeds from the weekend's events benefitted the Alpine Academy Scholarship Fund, created and funded by our supportive alumni families.
The capstone of the weekend was the gala banquet where the youth choir and several featured youth soloists joined a special musical guest (www.annesteele.com) in performing several musical numbers. Additionally, we honored each Alumni student and her family and presented the famed "Lila Award" (named for our founder, Lila Bjorklund) to a student that has shown immense change, growth and has additionally found ways to "pay it forward" to others. This year's honoree, Corie, in attendance with her entire family, shared her gratitude and recognized the other nominees. One highlight of the weekend was the naming of the soon-to-be-completed Fitness & Arts Center on our campus.
We feel so privileged and blessed to be able to get to take part in helping these amazing young women, and were honored to have them return to share their stories and reconnect with all of us.
