Alpine Academy Erda, UT Alpine Academy Announces Sand Tray Therapy Room Contact: Jason Stout Residential Supervisor 800-244-1113 jstout@alpineacademy.org www.alpineacademy.org Alpine Academy is excited to announce that as part of our Clinical Building expansion we have added a Sand-Tray Therapy room.
Sand Tray Therapy often consists of a room containing a table filled with sand, and surrounded by shelves of miniature figurines. Clients are asked to pick figures and images they connect with, and to make or do whatever he/she feels prompted to. The therapist does not judge what the client is doing, but utilizing the images and patterns selected, maintains a connection to the client's experience throughout the process. We are very happy to have the ability to offer this additional medium to our students who struggle with identifying and expressing those deeply buried emotions. Alpine Academy offers family-based residential treatment that is uniquely successful at helping teenage girls learn the skills to succeed at home, in school, and with their own families. Alpine is a part of Utah Youth Village, one of Utah's oldest and largest charities providing treatment to children and families in crisis. © Copyright 2012 by Woodbury Reports, Inc. |
