Charity Haven Girls Home is non profit Christian home founded in the early 1990’s. They offer a “loving refuge” for girls ages 12-17 with either behavioral problems, or who are unwanted, neglected or abused. The home is funded solely through gifts, churches and various non-governmental organizations. With a student capacity of 12 girls, the home is more like a “large family” based on an Accelerated Christian Education program (A.C.E.)

The girls are “loved, fed, clothed, educated and counseled from a Bible-centered perspective.” A.C.E. is a self-instructional method used by over “9,000 schools world-wide that addresses the specific educational needs of each student and allows them to progress through and beyond their grade level.” In addition to academics, the students learn responsibility, character training, music and “wholesome” recreational activities. As part of the curriculum, the girls attend Christian camps and participate in activities with several “good” church youth groups. Charity Haven accepts referrals from parents, relatives, pastors and social workers.
