BrainWare Safari is an interactive multimedia game with 168 levels that progressively challenges students and helps to "develop a student's cognitive skills, and the underlying mental processing skills." The game is recommended for students ages 6-12. [However, even as an adult, I still enjoyed sampling the game. ~Lon]

This is a "carefully designed program to develop 41 basic cognitive skills," which allows students to progress at their own pace. The game offers tutoring centers and other education providers a "competitive advantage in producing greater results in less time by supplementing and enhancing existing services and programs."

According to the website, recent scientific research on the brain and longstanding clinical experience show that developing a student's cognitive skills and the underlying skills that enable learning, can dramatically improve a student's ability to take in, process, retain and apply information. Outcomes, as measured by pre- and post-testing with the Woodcock-Johnson III Cognitive Battery, showed significant growth for the students in grades 1-8 who used BrainWare Safari.
