Personal Recovery Assistants (PRA) is an international service provided by Hired Power, Inc., for clients struggling with addictive behaviors, depression, gambling and eating disorders. The PRA staff undergoes specialized training, background checks and are fully insured and bonded.

PRA believes they can help clients to both acclimate and begin to manage the chaos of returning home after completing residential treatment. Hired Power, Inc and the Treatment Coordinators, "who regularly use their service," believe that a PRA reduces recidivism rates and helps clients build the life and coping skills developed either during initial treatment or in an outpatient setting. "The PRA also works closely with the treatment coordinator as their eyes and ears; often communicating on a daily basis."

To be utilized as a treatment coordinator, PRA requires the person be a medical or mental health professional, interventionist, discharge planner or other allied professional involved in the treatment of an individual. The treatment coordinator creates and monitors the course of treatment needed for each client. A discharge plan is initiated upon admission to treatment.

The program helps clients navigate social, personal/professional situations, establish everyday routines and attend therapy sessions. PRA's are also available under the supervision of a physician, to support an adult through an in home medical detoxification process.
