College Excel Students
Break Previous GPA Records

College Excel students earned a cumulative 3.52 grade point average during the winter term of 2007, breaking previous GPA records. The students took classes including microeconomics, calculus, financial accounting, literature, and tai chi at Central Oregon Community College and at Oregon State University, demonstrating exceptional work ethic and diligence in their efforts. Our students also took exclusive, accredited courses, taught by COCC professors, in College Excel's onsite Academic Center for Excellence, which allows students to attend college classes in a familiar environment. The added support, provided by our academic team, enables students to identify their academic strengths and challenges in achieving college success. College Excel is a unique college support program in Bend, Oregon. Through one-on-one academic and life skills coaching, students develop the learning, life and social skills necessary to succeed on their own.
