Karen Stevens resigns as Director
of Admissions for Academy at Canyon Creek

I wanted to inform all of you that I am resigning as Director of Admissions for Academy at Canyon Creek effective May 8, 2007. As many of you know, last year I returned to school to complete my degree. I have been going to school in the evenings, knowing that the time would come when I would need to attend school on a fulltime basis, during the day, in order to enroll in the required classes for graduation. That time has come.

Many thanks, to you my friends in other treatment programs across the country! Thanks for your friendship and association at NATSAP and IECA meetings. Thanks to all the educational consultants for your support with referrals and your friendship. I am grateful I had the privilege of meeting each one of you.

I would also like to thank the owners of Academy at Canyon Creek for their confidence in giving me this employment opportunity. Special and personal thanks to Brad Gerrard who has been a wise supervisor, mentor and friend. Academy at Canyon Creek has a solid program with an excellent Clinical Director (Jordan Larsen) and I am thankful for the time I had to work with such talented and caring individuals. My hope is that after I have finished my academic preparations, my path will cross with yours again. My best to each of you!

With my departure, Tori Ballard (801- 491-3910) will continue to assist and assume responsibilities for the admissions department here at Academy at Canyon Creek. Many of you know Tori and know that she will do a great job.
