Bynum New Rep for North Idaho School

Blending a career working with at-risk youth and physical fitness, Candace Bynum has been named the Regional Director of Business Development in the southeast region for Ascent, Boulder Creek Academy and Northwest Academy.

Bynum, who has nearly 10 years experience in admissions and marketing for private residential schools and programs, will be supporting referral sources and helping to coordinate tours for the three Idaho campuses.

A native of Bolivar, Tenn., Bynum holds a Bachelor of Science in physical education and management from the University of North Alabama, where she played on the girls' varsity softball team. Along with working as a YMCA sports coordinator, she was an exercise specialist for the Helen Keller Hospital in Alabama.

Additionally, Bynum served as Program Director and Public Relations Manager for the Tennessee Valley Family Services homeless and runaway shelter in Huntsville, Alabama.

"Working in physical education and in sports was a unique way for me to help give something back to kids," said Bynum. "But being involved with at-risk adolescents was a way to not just give back to kids, but to parents as well."
