Beth Baus, Rogers Memorial Hospital National Outreach Representative, 800-767-4411 ext. 309, announces that, in response to family and therapist requests, The Child & Adolescent Center (CAC) at Rogers Memorial Hospital will expand its services this spring to include children ages 8 to 11. These younger ages will have separate treatment areas and housing from the CAC’s current 12 to 17 age groups, while including the CAC’s comprehensive services that combine intensive psychiatric care, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and experiential therapy with adventure-based experiences. Services for ages 8 to 11 will have full-time, on-site child and adolescent psychiatrists, and will treat ADHD, anxiety and mood disorders, Tourette Syndrome; behavioral, academic and social difficulties; school avoidance, and eating disorders.
