After 8 years of dedication to Northwest Academy, Ruth McKnight has made the decision to retire from her position as the Executive Director. She will remain attached to the school as the chief facilitator of parent workshops to concentrate on first her love, parents once again.
We are pleased to announce that John Schrom is the Acting School Director for Northwest Academy. Most recently, John has served as the Clinical Director for our ASCENT Wilderness Program working with adolescents and their families.
We are confident John's 25 years of prior experience in private practice and residential programs will greatly serve to enhance program development. He earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame and a Master's degree from California State University. In addition, John is a licensed psychotherapist in both Idaho and California. John's passion and commitment to serving teens and their families has made a significant impact in their lives.
Northwest Academy is fortunate to have John to continue the mission of providing families with the best service. Please join us in welcoming him!
