Michael Andreen, former executive vice president at Warner Independent Pictures and senior vice president for production at 20th Century Fox, is the newest mentor at the Optimum Performance Institute.

He joins a Nobel Prize winning physicist, a Grammy-nominated drummer, a realtor, a fashion designer and a surgeon (among others) who work with the young adults at OPI as mentors.

Andreen supervised production on a number of films including "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World," "The Day After Tomorrow' and "The Kingdom of Heaven."

He began his entertainment career as a reader for Martin Scorsese and Jonathan Demme after graduating with an MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University's Tisch School.

OPI is a unique, individualized residential, therapeutic and educational program for young adults ages 17-25. It is located in Southern California.
