Alldredge Academy of Davis, WV is pleased to welcome Joanna DiStefano McKay as Marketing Coordinator. A native West Virginian, McKay is a 2003 graduate of Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina, with a bachelor's degree in History and Political Science, and was also a Corella & Bertram F. Bonner Scholar. Since returning to the area, she has served as an AmeriCorps/VISTA Volunteer and attended the Brushy Fork Leadership Institute of Berea, KY.
As Marketing Coordinator, McKay will be working closely with admissions staff to expand and diversify Alldredge's referral base. She will also be developing a new long-term marketing strategy in Alldredge's transition as a member of the Utah-based Solacium Group.
McKay remarked, "I am very excited about this opportunity and honored that I can take a role in Alldredge's mission of empowering children and families." McKay joins a staff of over ninety counselors, mentors, teachers, and wilderness search and rescue instructors.
Alldredge Academy was established in 1999 as a short-term wilderness intervention program and fully accredited academic school for adolescents age 13 through 18. Since its founding Alldredge has successfully graduated over 1,000 students from its 3-month program.
