Alldredge Academy was established in 1999 as a short-term wilderness intervention program and fully accredited academic school for adolescents age 13 through 18. Since its founding Alldredge has successfully graduated over 1,000 students from its 3-month program.
After nearly 8 years of service to youth and families, Alldredge Academy of Davis, WV has become a member of the Solacium Group which was recently formed to raise the bar of service and safety in the adolescent care profession. Solacium strives to develop new programs and seek out other programs that share common values and a desire for higher levels of excellence. L. Jay Mitchell, founder of Alldredge and co-founder of the SUWS Adolescent Program, maintains an interest together with his family in Solacuim along with equity partners Val Christensen and CIC Partners LP. Christensen has extensive experience in the health care industry and will act as Solacium's CEO. CIC Partners LP of Dallas, TX will provide additional leadership and financial strength. Mitchell will be responsible for program development and implementation.
Alldredge is the third member to join the Solacium Group. Other noted programs include New Haven, a residential treatment center for girls located in Spanish Fork, Utah, and the Sunrise Academy for Girls in southwest Utah. In the transition with Solacium, Alldredge Academy remains dedicated to its mission to empower youth and families to rediscover their life missions while increasing their desire and capacity for virtue.
In addition to this acquisition, Alldredge Academy is proud to announce that Jim Browning has accepted the position of CEO/Director.
