Northwest Get Together Just Weeks Away

Woodbury Reports annual Northwest Get Together is just weeks away…

This event, slated for May 21, 2010, to be held at The Naples Inn in Naples, Idaho, will be informative and interactive, with all guest speakers bringing their expertise to the topics for the day:

Northwest Academy's Scott Victorson, a PE teacher at this Naples, Idaho school, will speak on the standards and requirements of personal fitness for teens and how to incorporate a healthy physical education curriculum into a residential setting.

Dr. Barbara Cunningham from Summit Preparatory School in Montana will present "Rethinking the Gifted Underachiever," taking a look at intellectually gifted teens and how to successfully reengage these bright teens.

Dennis Thompson, co-founder of Spokane Mountain, a new substance abuse program for young adults, and his partner L Jay Mitchell, founder of SUWS Wilderness program, Alldredge Academy and Greenbrier Academy, will engage this year's participants experientially with music and drumming as metaphors as a conduit to pass through new spiritual thresholds.
