Dear Friends and Colleagues,
As you may have recently heard, an announcement was made that the Willow Creek School will be closing its doors. Although quality clinical and academic services were, and until we close our doors, will still be offered to our families, the trying economy has heavily impacted the school and created circumstances that prevent it from continuing operations. This difficult decision was made only after all other options had been exhausted. Although Willow Creek School itself is in very difficult financial circumstances, four of its partners will provide from their personal funds, amounts sufficient to insure that programming will continue with regular activities, scheduling and staffing through the end of the month.
Academic arrangements are being made in an attempt to ensure that students are kept on track and either transitioned to alternate academic settings or allowed to complete course work through independent study.
Families who are transitioning will have the option of enrolling at any Second Nature program at a significantly reduced rate until consultants are able to help with new placement options. Alternately, parents may request that prepaid tuition be returned to them, to be prorated based upon the number of days remaining in the student's enrollment period that will be unfulfilled after the school closes. The Willow Creek partners identified below are working on a plan to provide such refunds out of their personal funds. Money will be refunded on a schedule to be determined by, among other matters, the aggregate dollar amount to be refunded. This plan will be communicated to parents in the near future.
We are truly sorry for any stress and disruption this process may cause the clients and families of Willow Creek. We hope to create as supportive a transition as possible to ensure the integrity of each family's therapeutic experience. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have questions or if we can help with anything at all.
Sincerely,
Brad Reedy -
