Nunnelley Announced As Clinical
Director For Whetstone

Whetstone Academy is excited to announce the arrival of their new Clinical Director, Jeremy Nunnelley, LPC, NCC.

Jeremy brings over 12 years of experience in therapeutic programs including Cherokee Creek Boys School, School District of Oconee County (SC), and most recently, Trails Carolina. Jeremy is also self-employed as an Instructor of Parenting Classes for referrals from the SC Department of Social Services.

Jeremy received his BS from Jacksonville State University and his MA in Professional Counseling from Georgia School of Professional Psychology/Argosy University. Jeremy has also had specific training in the BoysTown Psycho-educational Treatment Model, Wilderness First-Responder, and Low Element Ropes Course Facilitation.

With a calm and compassionate presence, Jeremy is effective at challenging students to examine their behavior along with the underlying thoughts and emotions that have been problematic. From Sharon Stricker, Whetstone Academy?s Head of School: "I have known Jeremy for seven years. I remain amazed at his ability to walk young men through difficult emotional/behavioral terrain, and bring them safely and effectively to a plateau of self-assuredness. He is masterful. We are very fortunate to have him join the Management Team of Whetstone Academy."

In his leisure time, Jeremy enjoys hiking, canoeing, mountain biking and rock-climbing.

Whetstone Academy, a 501(c)(3), is full therapeutic program in a Montessori environment for middle school boys.
