West Ridge Academy Announces Outdoor Summer Program

West Ridge Academy announces their Outdoor Education Summer Program is now enrolling students for June 20 thru August 8th Graduation Day.

West Ridge Academy is a licensed Residential Treatment Center that has been helping families and teens for over 50 years! We accept and work with students between the ages of 13 to 17.5 any students older must be reviewed on an individual basis. The school is designed to help young men and women who have the capability of doing exceptionally well but are currently making very destructive choices in their lives. They could be showing destructive behavior, because of past experiences in life that they do not understand. Those emotions and feelings can show themselves as anger, hurt, pain, fear or frustration which creates poor feelings they have of themselves, lack of self-esteem, lack of motivation and self-discipline. At West Ridge Academy they work with each teen to overcome the challenges they are facing, getting to the bottom of the sadness and anger, build self-esteem and help them to become accountable and responsible for their actions and their life.

We have 10 licensed Therapists (LCSW, LMFT, and AMFT and all have current licenses). They specialize in working with youth and are all full time employees of West Ridge Academy. Our therapist work with youth that are struggling in their home environment, including alcohol, drugs, depression, self-mutilation, mental health issues including Bi-Polar, ODD, RAD, ADHD, etc. Students have extensive therapy, including - Group therapy 3 times a week and then processing on the hikes. These groups are Drug and Alcohol, Adoption, Self Esteem, and Life Skills. They will also be involved in a weekly family and individual session. Our APRN is Dr. Jodi Morstein and will oversee any medication management needs.

The camp consists of four phases of achieving change and then a solo:

East Phase - Resistance: Learning and Orientation

South Phase - Open: Integrity and Accountability

West Phase - Initial: Empowerment/ Insight

North Phase - Internalization: Stewardship and Leadership

Tuition for the West Ridge Academy Outdoor Summer Program is:
$16,900 50 day program -Therapy, Education, Life Skills, Social Skills, Leadership Skills, Behavioral Modification
$183 per day if early arrival is necessary
$5,000 down and then the difference in full by June 20th
$5,000 down with insurance verification for coverage
