Four boys received their Eagle Scout Awards at a court of honor held Apr 26. The boys earned the highest rank in scouting by serving the community. They have been led by wonderful adults volunteering their time to help our boys learn the skills and develop the characteristics of an Eagle Scout.
All of these boys attend West Ridge Academy in West Jordan. Our residential treatment center is recognized for the positive effects it has on teens who are struggling academically, emotionally, and socially.
Brennan collected money, diapers, gently used clothes and baby furniture for an organization called "Birthright" in Loveland CO for his eagle project. This is an organization for single mom's who also receive counseling while there. Brennan decided to do this project because he was adopted, his birth mom had him when she was sixteen.
Dallin built carpeted risers for his ward's primary to use for their primary program.
Kyle coordinated a project to make five quilts for the Road Home whom assist in helping homeless families in Salt Lake.
And our last boy made fleece blankets for an orphanage in Russia. He found out about the need while his parents were looking into the possibility of adopting a child from there.
