Wilderness Treatment Center is pleased to announce it has partnered with The Independent Small Program Alliance (ISPA). This partnership will allow Wilderness Treatment Center to expand its referral base to provide the best possible services in treatment, therapy, and education. Wilderness Treatment Center is committed to working with educational consultants and providing a valuable treatment option for adolescents and young adults.

Andy Anderson, Managing Partner of ISPA is ecstatic with the quality of members joining ISPA. Our strategic business alliance is hitting its stride and we could not be more pleased. Wilderness Treatment Center is an excellent program with 25 years of success behind it.

Wilderness Treatment Center is a 60 day, inpatient, chemical dependency treatment facility for adolescents/young adult males ages 14 to 24. We are the only program to combine a conventional 30 day inpatient stay with a 16-21 day wilderness expedition. As always, each of the expeditions is staffed by one of our licensed addiction counselors and a certified wilderness guide for the entire duration of the trip.

The two components (traditional drug and alcohol treatment and a wilderness expedition) and length of stay allow Wilderness Treatment Center graduates to be farther in the recovery process than those leaving a shorter rehab program.

Since its inception in 1983, Wilderness Treatment Center has successfully treated young men for the world over. The Treatment Center's primary goal is to introduce the adolescents/young adults to a way of life free from drugs and alcohol with an increased self-esteem and a feeling of empowerment. Rugged and challenging activities such as backpacking, cross country skiing, rappelling, ranch work, and a wilderness therapy expedition, offer an adventuresome and disciplined setting that can lead to effective change.

Wilderness Treatment Center is located on a 4,000 acre cattle ranch in Northwest Montana. The setting is the perfect place for young men who often have trouble in the confines of a more conventional setting. Referrals come from educational consultants, outpatient treatment centers, private therapists, doctors, lawyers, inpatient treatment centers, therapeutic schools, wilderness programs, probation officers, alumni, families, and interventionist.

Families and Referents are informed of treatment planning and progress on a weekly basis. Our 4 ½ day family program allows for the reconstruction of family wholeness and health. The counselors work closely with family members and referents throughout the course of treatment to ensure the best possible outcome.

Clients of Wilderness Treatment Center are medically supervised. Our experienced licensed addiction counselors and psychologist utilize the 12 Steps and other therapeutic philosophies to assist these young men. Days are filled with individual and group therapy, psycho-educational lectures, recreation, and AA meetings, not only at the ranch, but also in the wilderness.

Wilderness Treatment Center has proven itself as a unique, safe, and successful treatment program. We have partnered with Blue Print Education Group to let our clients receive 2.5 high school credits for attending our treatment program. Extensive educational and psychological testing is available upon request. Please feel free to view our website: www.wilderness-therapy-program.com for more information.
