Does pornography change a child's brain? Is modern pornography like the pornography around when we were kids? Is there such a thing as 'safe' pornography? Do pornographers target children? What can a parent do?

Questions like these will be discussed and, hopefully, answered next Monday when Shawn Brooks, the Executive Director and co-owner of Oxbow Academy is interviewed by host Lon Woodbury on Parent Choices for Struggling Teens on LATalkRadio.com, Channel One, noon December 2nd, Monday noon Pacific Time.
Lon and his guest will delve into the topic: How pornography harms a child's development and what the influence of pornography on adolescents is through the developmental process, particularly if their first exposure to it is between the ages of 6-11.
Drawing on his experience at
Oxbow Academy as well as literature and research about the subject, he will share how pornography changes the brains of children and influence the need for sex specific treatment and, more importantly, what parents and we as a society can do about it.
