When we are told to "love our neighbors as ourselves," that suggests we should first love ourselves to be able to love others explained Chesley Strowd, Admissions Director for Academy at Sisters in Oregon. Listen to Chesley explain how this is being done at the Academy at Sisters where part of the curriculum of this all-girl Therapeutic Boarding School (TBS) is to use mindfulness to help the girls develop self-compassion, and how parents can use this insight to help their own children. [Our thanks to Rich Simpson, owner of Pathways Abroad for providing our intro music]
