Many parents are not aware that if their child skips school in many jurisdictions, there could be legal consequences against the parents. This was an example shared by Tom Jacobs, former Judge for Maricopa County and Founder of www.AskTheJudge.info, to Lon February 29, 2016. Jacobs explained by not knowing the law a few parents have gone to jail as a reminder they must control their children. The take-away from the discussion was for parents to be aware of what their children are doing and what they can and cannot do.
