For children on the autism spectrum especially, they often don't pick up on non-verbal communications and need special help in learning how to pick up social skills. Marc Bonaguide, clinical director at Glenholme School in Connecticut joined Lon October 30, 2015 and explained that these students often just don't pick up on nonverbal cues and often miss what is happening in interacting with others. Listen as Marc explains how Glenholme School teaches their spectrum students how to read these communication skills, lessons that parents can use with their own children.
