Wilderness therapy can be effective with students on the autism spectrum, but only if those students unique perspectives are understood and worked with. Pamela Splain, a therapist with the SUWS of the Carolinas Wilderness joined Lon June 25, 2015 to explain exactly how this is done in the SUWS of the Carolinas wilderness program. She also provided some tips how parents might do a successful wilderness experience with their own children who are on the spectrum.
