Why are Art programs often the first to be cut from public schools when the budget is tight? Matt DeLong, The Glenholme School-CT Arts Director thinks it should be otherwise. DeLong joined Lon April 15, 2015 to explain the benefits to the students of a robust arts program in a school. He pointed out that participation in an arts program like music, drama or painting will help students in many ways such as their social skills and self-confidence.
