There is hope for parents of struggling children, and Billy Kaplan, President of House Calls Counseling joined Lon and co-host Liz McGhee March 30, 2015 to explain how he works with parents of children with serious attachment issues, and to explain his upcoming Parenting in SPACE conference late in April in the Chicago area. He explained his basic philosophy of working with children with attachment issues is not to focus on consequences as might happen with treatment for most mental health disorders, but to focus on building a relationship with the child, of course without ignoring negative behavior. Billy encourages people to call him with any questions they might have.
