In an interview with Lon Woodbury, on January 23, 2015, Lisa Sinsheimer MD announced the first recipient of The Bratter Scholarship. She explained The Bratter Scholarship was a financial gift from the John Dewey Academy in Massachusetts to Saving Teens in Crisis Collaborative (STICC or SavingTeens). The mission of Saving Teens ®is to help parents of struggling teens needing financial help to enroll their child in a therapeutic boarding school. The Bratter Scholarship is a subset of Saving Teens focused on helping those students with good potential for quality college work, but whose parents do not have the finances to pay the tuition. Therapeutic Boarding Schools that qualify are those that provide quality college prep academics along with quality professional counseling and support and most of their graduates attend four year colleges. Lisa also announced she be available to answer questions at the SavingTeens® event in Nashville next month at the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP) annual conference.
