And what can parent's do- to better ensure that their child holds onto the gains they made in treatment, whether it was wilderness, inpatient or therapeutic boarding schools? Ruben Jimenez, the author of "The Road Home:" helps families navigate transitions form treatment to home. He also leads retreats for young adults with "failure to launch" issues and hopes to write a book on this subject as well. Rueben, who wrote this book to help families navigate the complexities and nuances of a child returning home from treatment, also teaches a specific parent centric model in his book t6hat parents can use to offer structure and support necessary for a successful transition.
