When an adolescent transitions into adulthood, many will be successful in mastering Executive Functioning skills, those competencies by which they can function independently and are considered competent. For some, Executive Functions skill development is a lifelong process. What are Executive Functions and what are the competencies that determine whether a young adult will be successfully independent? How can you assess EF and how do you determine whether these functions are strengths or weaknesses?

Dr. Parth Gandhi, a clinical neuropsychologist who specializes in the clinical assessment of adolescents and young adults in wilderness and residential treatment programs, will be joining host, Lon Woodbury on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 on "The Woodbury Report" on K4HD.com at 12:00 noon- Pacific Time, to discuss the relationship of Executive Functions to success or outcome and what EF competencies are more important or that a client should focus on first. Parth will also talk about how a person can develop EF skills, where to start and how to create a development plan.

During this interview, Parth will explain what an "emerging adult" is, how accountability works in developing EF skills and what a "working memory" is and how it plays an important part in developing EF development.
