Valley View School in North Brookfield, Mass. is pleased to announce the near completion of the first phase of a major renovation to the campus. Major upgrades and reconstruction have been finished throughout the main dormitory and public areas, including the rebuilding of bedrooms for 25 students with brand new walls, ceilings, floors, lighting and furniture. Additionally, five common-area rooms have been redone, with a new billiards room and television viewing room.

Work has already started on the Freeman House Dormitory, with new living room upgrades and furniture, and a brighter, more open study area for students. Within weeks, Valley View plans to begin phase two of the project, which will focus on the school buildings. Last spring, two Smart Boards were installed in classrooms, with two more slated to be added in the fall. These have added a strong technological approach to the way students are taught. This project should be underway very soon, and could be fully finished by the New Year.

All this has been made possible through a strong partnership between Valley View School and families and alumni. "We feel very fortunate to have friends and families who believe in Valley View School and in what we do, and we are confident that the progress we make today will benefit not only the students that are here with us now, but also those coming in the future", said Phil Spiva, director of Valley View School.

Valley View School is a private, not for profit, residential school providing a supportive therapeutic educational environment for boys between the ages of 11 and 16.
