Valley View School Update

To our Education Consultant friends,

As the fall is upon us and the summer has come to a close, we are excited about sharing news of the experiences our boys have been occupied with during the past few months or so. The summer program has offered numerous opportunities designed to provide youngsters with explorative learning experiences and many of these endeavors are highlighted in a new area on our website. There has been a high level of enthusiasm amongst the students as the summer has unfolded for them.

Our web pages now highlight numerous community based field trips associated with the summer school classes, several weekly day hikes to local attractions, two 6 day wilderness backpacking trips to NH and the Adirondacks of NY, and we are very proud to document that the combined total of community service hours has reached an astonishing 413 since the program was initiated earlier this year.

All in all it has been a very busy and productive summer. It has been most gratifying to observe our boys as they explore new horizons, develop more positive friendships, and continuing to exhibit increasing enthusiasm for personal growth.

We will continue to document many of these activities as they relate to experiential education and are excited to announce our recent website renovations that include a "blog" format designed to host ongoing updates of the endeavors our boys engage in throughout the year. Furthermore, we have added to the home page a "First Visit" link to guide visitors towards our philosophy and approach. Please take a look.

Photographs and descriptions will be posted on an ongoing basis and will include experiences associated with community service, school trips, sports, clubs, and more. Please take a moment to peruse the "Experiential Education" and "On Campus" tabs located on our home page and share your thoughts with us.
