Brendan O'Neil is joining the clinical staff at Valley View School. As we continue to envision and reinforce a solid structural plan for the next forty years at Valley View, we are delighted to add a new senior staff member to contribute an additional dimension to our program. Because we have been blessed, in spite of a tough economy, with a high level of stability over the years, we are in no way restructuring, but adding to our program. All of the significant components, including competitive athletics, drama, foreign travel, community service, as well as a wide range of competency building experiences that address the younger adolescent boy, remain in place, as does the retention of our highly experienced, committed staff.

However, in keeping up with contemporary clinical thinking, our goal is to reinforce and enhance still further the positive experiential component of a boy's stay at Valley View. Joining us full time in February, Brendan, an MSW will bring to Valley View a wealth of over 10 years direct experience with adolescents that include teaching and holding a clinical position in residential therapeutic programs. He has also lead outdoor wilderness programs with Aspen and Outward Bound, as well the coordination of a number of community service and experiential educational projects. We plan to infuse a significant component of these activities into the ongoing program. This, coupled with Brendan's clinical skill will add a dimension allowing boys to further discover the emotional tools and resilience associated with building a more productive vision of their future. We are also confident in validating Brendan's appreciation and understanding of the process and the struggles associated with the emotional growth of adolescents, as he himself is a graduate of Valley View School twenty-one years ago.

We welcome Brendan O'Neil as a member of our Clinical Staff.

Valley View School is a private, not for profit, residential school providing a supportive therapeutic educational environment for boys between the ages of 11 and 16. For more information, please visit our website at www.valleyviewschool.org.
