Trails Momentum Welcomes Mara Mueller
to the Clinical Team

We are pleased to announce the addition of Mara Mueller LCSW CADC I as Clinical Director of our program. Mara has spent the past decade working with adolescents and young adults in a therapeutic setting.
The entire team at Trails Momentum is very excited to welcome Mara to our staff. To learn more about her experience, read her bio below.
Mueller received her Masters in Social Work from Portland State University in 2004 and earned her Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credentials in 2009. Throughout her therapeutic career, she has worked in a variety of environments including therapeutic boarding schools, wilderness therapy programs, and psychiatric hospitals.
She served as clinical director for The Academy at Sisters and most recently worked as a primary therapist for BlueFire Wilderness. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience in drug and alcohol counseling for adolescents and young adults.
Mueller utilizes an integrated treatment approach that also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness. She is certified in the therapeutic technique Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and holds a certification as a yoga teacher.
In her free time, Mueller enjoys mountain biking, surfing and international travel. She loves all activities that involve time spent outdoors with her significant other Allan and her newly adopted dog from Peru, Mija.
Trails Momentum is a co-ed adventure-based wilderness program that offers a transformative, student-centered growth experience in the mountains of Western North Carolina for young adults ages 18-25.
