The International Center for the Study of Psychiatry and Psychology has appointed Tom Bratter to the Board of Directors.

Last year at the Ninth International Annual Conference, ICSPP gave Tom Bratter "the Lifetime Achievement Award" for founding The John Dewey Academy, a residential, college preparatory, therapeutic high school, which has a medicine-free environment where more than seventy-five percent of its graduates graduate from colleges of quality. Less than ten percent require psychotherapy or pharma-cology. The John Dewey Academy validates Breggin's anti-pharmacological theories.

Founded by Peter R. Breggin, MD, The International Center for the Study of Psychiatry and Psychology, a not-for-profit corporation, which alerts mental health professionals and the FDA about the psychological and physical dangers of medication such as the SSRI anti-depressant medication (Paxil, Prozac, and Zoloft), the neuroleptic and anti-psychotic which produce tardive dyshine-sia, methamphemines to treat the non-existent diagnosis ADHD, and electro-shock treatment.

Professionals should join ICSPP which entitles members to get Ethical Human Psychology and Psychiatry: An International Journal of Critical Inquiry. EHPP publishes scientific research, literature reviews, and clinical reports about ethical practices and anti- psychotropic medication. Bratter suggests that "this journal is mandatory reading for special purpose schools personnel because these articles generally are rejected by journals which rely on advertising from pharmaceutical corporations."
